Default REPLACEMENT UNDERBONNET HEAT DEFLECTOR/BLANKET

Anyone have any advice as to how I can replace my disintegrated heat blanket ??! - different advices have suggested don't bother but conflicting advice suggests that exposure to the heat can cause paint dulling on bonnet due to prolonged exposure. HHHHHEEEEELLLLLPPPPP!

It's mostly for noise regulations rather than heat management. Just bin it, that's what I did and nothing has happened to the paint.

We had a discussion on here not long ago, its to stop a fire spreading if engine caught on fire. Binned mine years ago made no difference.

Binned mine years ago, not big enough to do anything in the event of a fire and wouldn't settle down on the engine to starve the fire of oxygen anyway due to the shape of the things it would land on. It's just sound deadening made out of fire resistant material so that it doesn't catch on fire itself. Bin it.
