Hawkeye inner wing Induction...
Hi guys, lookin to ditch my k&n typhoon and get an inner wing jobbie, but every time I got to buy one on a forum or eBay, they've already been sold... So then I look for new and prices go from 53.99, to an astronomical £299!!!
I'm a believer in you get what you pay for... But these are just bent ally pipes with a filter on the end?
Anybody got any advice? I'll be running over 400bhp but under 450.... Japspeed' any good? I hear their FMIC's aren't a great fit though?

the main difference between the ebay ones and the tested higher quality more costly items is the fact that they dont screw with the ECU's MAF readings. The shape of the pipe as well as the diameter will change how much air the car is reading. The cheaper ones can swing either way and sometimes both (maybe leaner at idle/cruise, richer on boost - sometimes the other way around!).
stick with a quality tested brand and you won't go far wrong but sadly that testing and development time adds a markup to the price you pay for it.

oh well if it's mafless then yeh it's pretty much a bent pipe with a filter on it so long as it's not restricted in any way (pipe to small, crush bends etc) then it will get the job done.
If your running a big front mount then so long as the filter is suitable massive with a decent cold air pipe pointing at it you shouldn't have any bothers.
