Getting a new car in a couple of weeks

Its an A3 Turbo - fairly basic - but I need a run around

Anyone has a 'Superchip' fitted to one/

Anyone got any comments on Superchips - I want a cheap conversion - no exhaust/filter swaps - I want the car to be faster - safely but look/sound the same

Superchips have quoted a price of £470 all in - is the performance gain noticeable - my other car is an sti5

Thanks in advanve

Try A3/S3 bbs - at least one guy has a chipped A3T (190 bhp) - not Superchip, but Amd, IIRC.

I cant comment on A3 chipping, but AMD in Oxfordshire are excellent people. They can do a very personalized re-map for you. I had my old G40 done there and the performance gains were excellent.

Thumbs up

I had an A4 Turbo Chipped by AMD in Oxford.

46 more BHP and 50 lb/ft Torque, 36000 miles in one year, never missed a beat and YES it is noticable!

'Superchip' is a bit of a swear word in the Scooby community.

However, I've heard loads of good (and no bad) reports of using a Superchip on Audi turbo lumps.

I'm sure there must be an Audi or even Audi A3 board somewhere where you could get more info.

Cheers

Question

Wouldn't this be best in the None Scooby forum?

Chris.
