I attended a track day yesterday and had mine sound tested now at castle comb the limit is 100 decibels and mine was 108

I've got a japspeed sports cat and 3" system on it and I've been thinking for a while now about getting a quiter exhaust as i think I've pasted the stage of loud exhaust and having a young child now think it's time

So what are my options ? Maybe a 3" pro drive system

Where you from? Id be interested in swaping systems. Got a full cobra decat passed at curbrough 98db

 

I replaced the rather large (and very loud) backbox that was on my car from the previous owner with a http://www.haywardandscott.com/subar...e-backbox.html which is much quieter and more civilized. It does still give a nice sound on boost, though.

I appreciate you will want a 3 inch model http://www.haywardandscott.com/subar...3-backbox.html which will probably be a little louder.

 

I will keep looking had a prodrive back box on there before and liked the sound but did they do a 3" version ?

 

I dont recall prodrive doing a 3" system.
May be worth looking around trying another make.

 

How much hp are you making?
I have just made an exhaust system for my car, 3" turbo back but with a 2.5" modified prodrive silencer. Easily a 400hp system

 

Cobra on here was doing an offer 20% off. I ordered the track day friendly 3" system. Cat back was only £375. 92db they claim

 

I have a Japspeed on my Version 5 STI and its considerably quieter than the Blitz I had on my WRX.....108DBS I am surprised at that.....

 

I had my Cobra track day friendly system checked at Snetterton last week 92db, I was surprised, seems louder to me

 

I have a big system on my newage that I'd swop for something smaller /quiter if anyone wanted
