Daft question I know but how do tne interiors compare between the new age (hawk) WRX and the classic STi (V6 type R)?

Yeah I meant more in a general fit and finish kind of way. I don't actually find to interior on my hawk to be that bad, I'm just wondering how a classic would compare (as I've got my eye on a V6 type R).

It's a definite step backwards Neil. In my opinion the interiors of even the very latest Imprezas are below par for the market, but the classic is in a different league of cheap plastic and basicness (is that a word? ).

However is it functional and does it matter? In my opinion the answers are yes it is and no it doesn't. It's not so bad it annoys you and let's face it if you buy a Type R with an eye on the interior you are probably buying it for the wrong reasons!
