HELP PLEASE
Hi all I recently purchased my first classic
1997 UK 2000 green
Apexi commander ( currently studying manual
)
Decat
260 remap
K&n panel filter
White line strut and antiroll bars
Started the car yesterday to warm up started fine went up to 1500 rpm as usual but then without warning rpm dropped to 100 - 200 and went dog rough coughing and spluttering mis firing and smoking a bit immediately switched off the car and swore alot !
First things first I thought read codes but on connecting the 2 black connectors ignition on engine light came on then went off didn't come back on ( is this due to the apexi ECU ?)
Checked the sparkplugs and coilpacks there fine
Went to start car (which is in limp mode ) so I can unplug the maf to check that and the car now won't start
Any advice tips would be great full and sorry for the long post
thanks

That's not a long post...
Not meaning as a wind up, but have you checked the basics? Oil, fluids, petrol?
Can you hear the fuel pump prime itself when you turn the ignition on? Does the engine turn over?

Take the in pipe off fuel filter, put it into a cup and then turn on the ignition, make sure you have flow. If not then you have a blockage or the pump is FUBAR'd.
If you have flow, disconnect the output pipe from the filter, no flow indicates the filter is blocked or the pump is FUBAR'd and not pressurising the system.
Does the fuel needle move when you turn on the ignition?
