AP Racing Cosworth big brake kit value
What would you say the value of AP Racing Cosworth big brake kit is? Like new? (literally) - they've only been on a matter of hundreds of miles.
I have a plan and trying to gauge value on these.
Cheers

I think you'll struggle to get that sort of money for them, more like £900 tops second hand and closer to £800 if you want them gone quick.
Do I see a Porsche brake kit in someones future. Personally I wouldn't bother as I doubt they'll out perform the AP's, but they do look nice.

And you want to remove those brakes! You nutter!
Personally, unless you track your car, I can't see how people actually enjoy 350 bhp+ on the roads these days.

The only brake kit I'd swap those for is the powerstation Porsche kit. However, I don't think powerstation are still doing that kit. And besides, for what it would cost to swap it really doesn't make sense unless you like the look of the Porsche kit over the AP. I don't think one kit is better than the other to be honest. I had the Porsche setup and it was mega and looked the nuts, expensive though.
With regard to price, I think godspeed now do a 6 pot AP setup for under £1300 brand new so used kits need to be sub a grand imo.
And I do believe the cosworth ones on your car were available from Graham Goode for little over a grand a while back if my memory serves me correctly. Didn't he get a job lot in and sell them off cheap or something ???

I had the porsche kit and yes it looks amazing but pad choice is restricted as there is no off the shelf option.each pad has to be milled to fit and powerstation said they had to wait until 10 people wanted pads before they ordered some in.
Stick with the ap's matey

When I enquired with powerstation about some discs and pads for mine they didn't mention anything about waiting, they just order the pad in you want and then machine it.
This might have changed now though as I don't think they offer the kit anymore.
I loved mine and they deffo look the business. As for which one is better, well I think they are both on par. There is an argument that the porsche kit is a better caliper because it's of monoblock design but I don't think that makes much difference on a road car.
If I was in your shoes I'd stick with what you have though

It's not that the brakes aren't decent, they're spot on, it was purely an aesthetics thing but tbf cant be arsed with the hassle of swapping them at the moment anyway.
