Default 'Cheap' early WRX's

Where are all the cheap (£1500) WRX's these days?

Have they all rusted away, been stripped, or ruined?

There were lots for sale 2-3 years ago, but they seem to have vanished or gone up in price.

(Fancy a nice early WRX some point in the future as a runaround car so i can garage the Evo)

The sort of people that bought them for that 2-3 years ago tend to kill cars very quickly. Most are probably sitting half stripped in council estate gardens.

Rotten underneath and blown head gaskets = more than car is worth.

I've not seen a classic saloon for a couple of months.

Cheshire Performance bought them all, they are now 'sought after and rare' and £10,000

Been thinking of a early classic to restore myself, Been inspired by some of the projects ive seen on here, especially some of the Type RA's and the P1 project on here.

Fancy a early STi and make it mint. problem is the early STi's fetch more then the later classic STi's as there a lot rarer.

The prices do seem to have shot up all of a sudden. Probably worth buying a WRX shell and building up with STI parts as you go.

I've got a M reg sti RA it's white I'm just trying to locate another DCCD gearbox for it, I bought one last year but it had no codes on it. As it transpires it was the wrong year for my one, I've fitted it but it seems the original diff doesn't like it. I'd take £2500 as it sits if your interested?

People don't want to sell them for peanuts so they get broke a fair bit now. I have tried to sell mine for a little more than £1500 and no one wants to buy them unless there like £1000 or there about's and I wasn't letting it go for money nuts

Dam right I'd rather keep it than give it away. One sold for £4155 on ebay only the other day item number 201292344935. These RA cars are getting rarer.

Power can be bought I don't like the V3 frontend much, I'd have to retro fit the V2 face Mine is standard looking but far from standard

Not too fussed on UK vs WRX as I'll be modding it as I go. Just HAS to Sonic Blue.

There were a couple of Type RA WRCs but they've been sold. I had a WRC before but couldn't get on with it as a main car. Now I'm after something just to mess around with.

That sounds a bit steep for what it is I only wanted £1850 for mine . May be I will have to wait a little longer and up the price
