I'm selling something to a non-P1 owner and he needs my chassis number to be able to buy some parts. Is there any good reason why I shouldn't give the number?
Thanks
I'm a non STI owner and back in OZ I wanted an STI rear sticker. We didn't know the correct colour sticker for the sonic blue car and the Subaru parts dealer had an STI chassis number of a sonic blue car he went off and I got the correct sticker. The STI's in OZ are a limited edition and numbered. 1 to 400 coupes and 1 to 400 sedans, so they're in the same league as the P1's. I don't think there should be a problem as long as he doesn't build a replica and then tries to sell it as a genuine item. So there are 2 arguments to this.
The other problem with this, as with many a car before the P1. Once parts are available to others, the originals value plummits. As who needs the original when you can get all the bits......
