Did you no that lv insurance does classic car insurance I've had my classic for ten years but this is by far the cheapest 115.00 a year fully comprehensive 5000 miles. Limited lock garage

They also do Imports (only started in the last year or 2).
They have a list of check boxes on their claim/policy system, and yes remapping is one of the options, though it is not called "remap" it is listed as "engine chip inc 0-10%/11-25%/26+% BHP increase".

So it's limited to the first classics. My '98 STI doesnt qualify for example.
No daily drive to work.
No "work or renovations" carried out - they will include any further mods in this.

- your classic car must be over 20 years old
- your classic car must be valued up to £40,000
- there shouldn't be any work or renovations being carried out during the life of your policy
- your classic car needs to be stored in a locked private garage when not in use
- you only use your classic car for social, domestic and pleasure purposes
- the annual mileage mustn't exceed 5,000 miles
- all drivers named on the policy need to be over 30
