Baby seat recommendation for impreza STi 2003?
Hi,
With a little one on the way I have been trying to find a car seat to fit my 03 STi but information is hard to come by.
Both Britax and Maxi Cosi websites seem to suggest you can't use their isofix bases with the car, although neither have the STi actually listed only GC and WRX respectively.
What have people used and can recommend in a newage STi? Prefer to find one with isofix base preferably.
Cheers

You don't have to use an iso fix base. In my impreza we used a belt in quick release base and let, by maxi cosi and its always been fine.
It's shocking that while most cars have iso fix points. Not all have been safety tested for baby seats.

Same here, I use the maxi cosi isofix base with the 2 way seating option (front or rear facing) and he's just about to come out of the pebble and in to the next size up which again fits perfectly on the base.

I bought a Jane new born seat, now called Matrix and then the Monte Carlo Plus Infant to Toddler seat for my grandson, it eventually turned into just a booster seat. It's got the adjustable head and torso "wings" with the infant insert from when he was very small. His sister as progressed to it now.
It's been reliable, washed brilliantly and taken the wear well over the years.

Depends how old your little one is but the best car seat I have EVER used is the 'maxi Cosi axis'. It's got a rachet mechanism that securely tightens up to the original seat belt (isofix not necessary) and it rotates 90 degrees to aid getting your little one in and out. Brilliant!
