Question New here (with questions)

Hi everyone.

1st time owner of a scooby, been after one since the age of 14, covered in mud stood in a forest watching rally's my old man.

Been and got myself a 2005 blob sti PPP 55k on the clock. Managed to add pics to my profile but don't have them uploaded to any websites to post in here.

For piece of mind she's geting a good service and cambelt change, all of her juices are getting changed too.

1..Could do with some help on OIL choices and a few other matters.

At the moment it's running decated, with full 3" from turbo, wallbro 225 fuel pump, nkg plugs.
Putting out 331.9 bhp mapped by Duncan at racedynamix.
She's just used for road use. ( for now haha)

2.. Also looking into upgrading the brakes to "godspeeds" kevlar pads and grooved dics (front and rear). Would these be a good choice???

3.. If I went with the Kevlar cam belt would it last any longer than the standard one?
i.e 40k or 4 years for standard. 60k or 6 years with Kevlar..
Because I will never reach the milage for the next change so I'd be looking at times scale.
If you get what I'm trying to say.

Rob

Welcome Rob!

I can only answer question 2, I recently fitted Godspeed kevlar pads and discs and also braided lines (HEL) to my 2006 sti, and that has made a huge difference, more so in terms of confidence. Enjoy the car!
