having done hard braking in both R8 & 996 ( variants
Found nothing in it ( the Porsche set up is a simple & easier solution ... For that reason if your upgrading I would go down that path
Ultimately it's your choice tho

They do look nice ian are the v8 and v10 calipers different then?
I'm trying to source a set of used ones
What's size of disc are they? As I would need them to fit under 18 speedlines

V8 are RS4 -6
V10 are totally diff design , wich is why I quoted the Porsche set up is a easier solution .
Having owned a R8 V8 .
Now if you were to fit the V10 set up
That's a diff kettle of fish!!!!

No worries guys I just fancy doing something out of the norm
I wouldn't know as Ive never had a classic only newages
But I did have 356mm k sport 8 pots on my old blob and had standard rear brembos
Maybe a rear brembo conversion for a classic

This mod is gonna catch on I'm sure of it lol
I phoned yesterday and was told no more than 795 but don't know if that was ap discs
To make it feasible you have to find a cheap set of calipers most I've found are starting at 650 and above
I'm probably gonna start trawling the rs forums

Yes our own 355mm grooved discs , alloy bells and brackets are £795 , be about £100 more using AP discs
Pads are quite expensive as you need 4 pads per caliper , so in reality you need to buy 2 sets of pads
Cheers Ian
