As anyone ever noticed their car run unusual or gauges read erratically when it's been cold and foggy

Usually get over boost or boost spikes due to the cold and more dense air as is fog. Moisture in the air!

More a flat spot at 3500-4000rpm. Usually my Torque Pro app gives a reliable MPG reading but it was generally sticking at 255mpg.
Good for pub talk and winding Tubby Tom and his 2 acolytes up but had me worried.

If it's foggy, how do you see your gauges?
Probably use of fog lights which overload your electrics and cause unnecessary fuel consumption. You should easily be getting 275mpg in fog.

I removed them
My gauge only reads to 255mpg.
The flat spot was more of a worry. Felt like the turbo kicked in then p*ssed off then came back in again.
It luckily went after the fog cleared up so just wondered if others had had a similar experience or theory.
I'm not sure what the grade of fog was
I'll measure it next time I'm by my exhaust. @ringlands

Thought misty fog was good like water injection?

There was a lot of moisture in the air, not humid air but tiny droplets. Could it have been the fact the temperature plummeted to 6c and the ecu is used to 12-16 and needs time to re-calibrate.

So it could have been the ECU/EBCS reeling in boost spikes??
