Default Decent Subaru Touch Up Paint

Hi all,

Does anyone here know any decent companies that do Subaru touch up paint? ideally want to buy from a company someone has already used and can confirm a decent paint match.

Thanks

Tom

I have found that Halfords paint seems to work fine for touch up paint. Just quote your paint code and they mix it for you while you wait. And if it's not quite right they redo it. The paint I bought for my blue/black bug was spot on.

Thats it mate they are never 100% and usually noticeable but they are ok for small marks and the likes. There are a few companies on ebay doing the pots but as said not sure what the match would be like....some are way way way off :/

I have a Subaru touch up for my 18L blob.
It's a good match tbh.
That's assuming you can still order them from a dealer ?

I'm down south but the three Halfords within 20 miles of me all offer the paint service. You can find out what each one does on line.

I have just looked on their website and my local one supposedly offers that service but never seen any paint mixing machines around....will have to pop down and give it a try.

Forget Halfords - Chipex is what you want

Chippex is what I have for mine I would go with this personally. There were some reports of colour variation for weird classic blues, but unless you get a match off your petrol cap by a specialist your paint wont be factory shade anymore anyway

I've used Chipex now for the 3 different coloured STI's i've owned in the past, and my current AMG merc.

Colour match has been great on every occasion, just takes a bit of practice before you get half decent at using it.

If its literally very small scratches, stone chips in not obvious places etc, why not go to a paint shop who supply the actual paint to car body repair shops and buy a tub of the exact paint? That surely is the best match you'll get.

You can get small tubs of it for around £12

It's easy to apply if you know what your doing.
