What does it spell?? £700 seems a bit expensive if you get offered good money for it sell it, as I doubt it will put much value onto your car when you sell.

Sorry, but I don't see any value in that at all.

no i will leave it on the car when it comes to sell it will draw more interest at least .. well my closed deck engine has gone to work shop so looking forward to that later in the year as not going to rush...oohh when i got the car the number plate was k scooby with a screw in the 9 and a screw in the first 0 .... so when i do eventualy sell i will put them plates back on lol......must say this open deck is nowhere as good as my closed deck missing it..........also what later shocks and springs will fit my v1

only worth what you get for it..... to be honest there are a lot of people think just because it nearly spells something the plate is worth a lot of money....

go around something like the british gt paddock and you see some cars with plates on that you think what the hell but it only means something to the owner

Personally I cant see it adding £700 to the value of the car, so I'd sell it.

obviously the guy that evaluated the number plate told him that the closed deck block is far faster and gives much better mpg

diffrence being the open deck is from a version 4 and just dont think it is as responsive for what ever reason as im using my ecu from my other engine and my injectors...swapped over the intake manifold that is all i have done so maybe need to change something else to get it to run like my previous engine cdb and im not going to even try to sell number plate for 700 this was a figure mentioned at car show but im leaving on the car as it will draw more attention to buyers.....

How have we got onto ODB and CDB.? Post 6 is a confusing read Barry.

For what it's worth I've got RSD 9Y on a series 1 RST, clearly I spaced it as RS D9Y, which now means the registration is worth next to bugger all with the tightened law on how you must display your VRN.

The point I'm making is the registration meant more to me than it does to an RS car as it resembles my initials, but now I can't space it how I'd like and throw a bolt in here and there to mislead the way it's meant to be viewed means it's pretty much worthless. I can buy a R# DAY for pretty decent money, so I've never moved the VRN of the RST as it now belongs with this car.

No sorry, it been garaged for the last 12 years and needs a complete restoration. I gave it to someone 12 years ago as a project, and not a lot has been done to it since, so I'm on with getting it back.

I've got the V5 etc, just a case of getting the car back.

I think there might be some of the S1 list http://passionford.com/forum/ford-es...-database.html
