Default new kid on the block

Hi everyone thought best introduce myself . 3 years ago I had a jap import 1994 turbo. Absolutely loved it but didn't like the fuel costs and the insurance at the time I was also 25 so think I was punching above my weight on costs. So after reluctantly giving it up I went down the Vauxhall route. . Bought a little astra gsi for 500 notes out of a garden and completely restored it from a 1.8 to a 2.5 v6 which was immense

After few years of hard work of resprays 2 engines suspension upgrades brake conversions and full engine conversions the head gasket went and left me with massive quotes.. now with no major mechanical experience but someone who played with mecano for many years I took on the job myself . I mean honestly how hard could it be i had swapped the engines myself with little help. .not only that but my first attempt being on the v6 lump with 2 heads... After getting the heads skimmed and tested it was a case of putting it all back together then it was sold on.

Few months passed by and several run abouts then I decided I wanted the subaru back but without costs ..well you know the power costs ..I appreciate the cost is what you play with and yep I agree I should have a turbo but this happened ......

So what could I do. .....

2ltr sport turbo bits..... unsure what to do yet but first things would be

Check engine light blinks occasionally hoping the blow in centre section of exhaust could be causing this if not then a cat replacement new plugs leads and service will be done... possibly do that anyway

Spoiler has been rattle canned and bonded with something like cement because I've tried everything to get it moving and it's not happening so alternative will be a carbon wrap but open to ideas?

Wheels will be changed for multi spokes with new discs calipers etc

Exhaust needs changing far to loud for my liking and quiet possibly my daughters when she is born lol

Undecided if any graphics will appear suppose I haven't seen this colour before. . With 72k mot for a year and tax I couldn't complain just watch this space now .. hope to chat to some of you soon and sorry for the long winded thread lol

if you get rid of the loud exhaust then you will be able to hear the engine better, which is a great sound in its self.

Engine is a tad tappy unless that's normal? . The spoiler is a pro drive one as it has a stamp on the sides. Thing is tho its been well and truly bonded on

So it's a rep . Nice car . But I would of still gone for the WRX . If u had one before u will miss the power . & I bet u will end up with getting the real thing .
Not saying bad things so please don't take this the wrong way.
Is it worth spending all that cash into a car then end up with the real thing. Like I say don't take it the wrong way. I have a1994 jap import & I love it.
But at 25 u would be pay well over wot the car is worth. How old r u now .
If u don't mind me asking .

I'm 29 now so my Insurance is 50 a month with points but with a baby due next month I can't warrant the turbo. Maybe yeah in the future may have it back but depending what I do with the sport it should hold its price with young drivers at least.... will be staying clean little bit of styling here and there and focus on the sound system .. possibly opt for a leather trim as well

But now I love the Subaru , & will never go back into a other car then a Subaru . Sound like u have some good ideas for the car . Just make sure its belled up to f**k if u r going down the sound & DVD road . Have fun doing it that's what's it all about . Driving your car with a big smile . Lol. The codes not sure about if u go into one of the other links u may get more help there .

The engines can sound a bit tappy but always worth asking someone to have a listen when your next at a garage.

No I'll just be wrapping the spoiler and possibly the bonnet at a later dent went I find one with a scoop and vents.. going to get some rims and plasti dip them black possibly. .. carbon inside would be good and I'm also planning a retrim to the door cards in a white leather or possibly blue not decided.

Well after a spell with the local force saying I can't have my blue lights on the road like them I have now just been delivered these white xenon sides

Also after there botching about my fonts and lettering on my registration I opted for some standard plates with the GB because I thought they actually give the car a much better look in a way think it's because of the badge or something I dunno just plane ones looked a bit unfinished on the car

Also I've picked up a set of classic alloys that have been sprayed pretty poorly so at moment I'm outside sanding down on my day off in the sun ..quality. .. unsure what colour they be going so please feel free to give ideas and any pics to add in mica blue would be great
