Help and advice needed - Power Steering +++
Hello all,
Right... I'm leaking power steering fluid. I've topped up several times and it still leaks.
I've researched the problem and the common cause seems to be the "O-Ring" failing.
The problem started with the typical power steering whine. I topped up and the whine went away. However, within a couple of miles i got the shakes through the steering wheel while turning. Topped up again and the problem still happens and at time you can smell what i believe to be the fluid dripping on to the headers and burning.
The other problem is, when i come to a stand still at lights the volt gauge drops and the warning goes off. I'm suspecting there may be an issue with the belt? Correct me if I'm wrong but does the same belt do the alternator and power steering?
This couldn't have happened at a much better time being the bank holiday and everywhere being closed.
I've tried the local places but all have suggested i need to bring the old ring in for comparison. I have no local Subaru dealers and i can't find anything on importcarparts.
So my questions are....
Is my guesstimate right or something more severe i.e steering rack?
Any links, part numbers etc would be really appreciated?

Can you see where it's leaking from? Mine leaked when one of the copper rings were missing from the banjo on top of the pump, it then leaked onto the block.
Yes the alternator and power steering are done on the same belt.
