I have a standard exhaust system on my 2002 wrx turbo just wondering if it would sound good with a straight pipe instead of a backbox? Any clips of sound would be great,
Already have a prodrive backbox but it's not loud enough

 

i've got a RCM team ice back box if you can call it that lol basicly a straight through pipe and i love it. it's fully decatted as well so it's very loud

 

If you want sound you need to remove the centre cat and change the backbox,

 

It would be bloody loud
I have a sports cat on my classic with a resonator in the center section and Japspeed shotgun exit pipes. There is no back box and when you give it some welly its a bit too loud

 

Any sound clips by any chance? I'm guessing if I remove the back box it will get an idea how it would sound

 

I've got a side exit exhaust with no silencers and rcm headers it's stupidly loud lol

 

I did have one on here but unsure as to where its gone. It was a while ago
I will see if I can find it though

 

I once paid a garage a tenner to cut open my backbox take the baffle out then weld it up again, it made a subtle difference.
