2nd July Elvington- Drag finals shootout and trophy presentations
reminder that the top 8 qualifiers from Scoobynet Live - Scoobyshootout last weekend are invited back to sort out the final drag shootout trophy and award on sunday 2nd July at elvington. Sure to be an exciting finale, and the weather should be better !!! (fingers crossed!)
Plan is to run the drag shootout at 1pm as a feature event during the rwyb day there.
We will then do an official trophy presentation and picture shoot for all the trophy winners from last weekend, so please let us know if you won a prize/trophy but cannot make the presentation. Press and sponsors will be in attendance so it would be appreciated if as many of you can get there to collect as possible.
For anyone who liked the taste of racing and fancies another go, you can do so on the 2nd as its a Straightliners RWYB day, just turn up with your driving license, helmet (and car!)
Class based drag racing and a top speed run this time (no handling cct).
£45 for the day to race, unlimited runs on both events.
9am onwards for entry, 10.30 am racing starts.
cheers

such a long drive, we left m.k. at 5:30 a.m. just to get there early enough to beat the traffic. but it was worth it. took tha wifes 06 galaxy as we were taking my 4month old daughter and a couple of friends. the looks we got from the "scoobie" enthusiasts who turned up in their cars did make us all feel funny. hence we will come up in my sti next time. will there be an entrance fee for spectators on the 2nd?

Zen and RCMS may well be there.
The Lateral car may well be there, but if it isnt, its my fault because i wont have finished it by then.
Worst case, my own car will be there in some form, which is effectively a Lateral Car.
The car to watch will be there, and that will be Andy.

anyone can go and practise as its the last rwyb there anyway before totb.
£45 for the day to race, 1/4m and top speed unlimited runs.
if some of the top 8 dont attend the other car gets an automatic bye into the next round, and then runs off against the next car.
all trophy winners and the top 8 will be on the gate list so nothing to pay for entry, all top 8 cars will also race foc.
same procedure as before ie sign on around 9am,rwyb racing from 10.30am, finals 1pm.

only the top 8 drag cars need bring the actual car to race, but if other trophy winners want their pictures taken for publicity purposes alongside their car thats fine. otherwise no real need to do so.

I should imagine the next opportunity to see all the big name Subarus go against each other will be JapShow at Santa Pod 25th June.
