Round up of ScoobyNetLive / ScoobyShootOut 2006 - Thanks!
What a weekend it's been!!!!!
Thanks to everyone for their support over the past 6 months and especially to the spectators, local groups, competitors, traders and sponsors etc etc that turned up and/or contributed to the day!
Huge thanks to TOTB (Chris and Simon) and Straightliners (Trev and his crew), as without their experience of event management and hard work the event would not of been possible.
Thanks to the volunteers that helped us on the day (what a nightmare that would of been without them - Chris: Please pass on a personal thanks from us at ScoobyNet to these guys).
After many discussions and hard work, I think all concerned achieved the end goal, to try and build upon the originally successful SSO (organised by TOTB with Straightliners). Even though we were aware of the pending bad weather and the clash with another key event, the turn out was extremely good and numbers exceeded previous years.
The carpark was a site to behold and I believe we had well over 600 Subaru's parked up (is this a record for the UK? )
Unfortunately the weather got a grip (unless you were on the handling circuit - NO GRIP ) after a dry morning (thank god for that at least), but it did not seem to hamper peoples enjoyment too much. The handling circuit proved very popular and it was also good to see an awesome 9.4 put in by Andy.F on the 1/4 mile!
It was a huge learning curve for us at ScoobyNet, and we have come away more wise for the experience!
To end.....
Thanks again to EVERYONE that contributed, attended, competed etc etc. It was an awesome day!!
ScoobyNetLive featuring ScoobyShootOut will be back next year, bigger and better!!!
Some of you may or may not of been aware, but we had Event Photo's attend the event and officially take photographs of the competitors. If you look at www.event-photos.co.uk, these professional pictures can be purchased on-line through their website.
Regards,
ScoobyNet Team

Could I add my own thanks for the organisation of a great event, which wasn't dampened by the attrocious weather.
Like you the sight of so many scoobs was a sight to behold.
And my day was made when I saw Andy F. tear up that strip! At that moment I could foresee all those scoob knockers becoming the silent minority that they ought to be!!!!!
Well done to all.

I'd like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who put up the prizes at Scooby Shootout and also to Scoobynet as the main sponsors.
Namely
Scoobyclinic for the £100 voucher and 5L Millers oil. Time for a dyno run or two I think !
Lateral Performance for the crate of beer...hic
AET Turbos for the Turbosmart dump valve and upgrading it free of charge to the twin dump high flow model
Scoobynet for the 2x 5L Millers oil, CVL octane booster (the good stuff) and Japanese Performance Magazine annual subscription.
Nitrous oxide supplies for the Gold plated Nitrous bottle. This will be in the car for TOTB !
TOTB Chris Mann for free entry into TOTB5 and the SSO trophy (very nice)
Thanks again everyone, very much appreciated and it will all be put to good use.
