Default Danny p's pearl white 2008 impreza hatchback

Hi guys , seein as iv got such a great response from my photos thought I'd post up a project thread up . So hope you enjoy .

Just a bit of back ground , I had my self a beaut little fiesta 1.25 for my first car .

Any way I thought as I go too more jap shows I'd get my self a jap car I'd thought about it a while but I'd remembered seen a nice white Scooby a couple weeks before and I had of days off I was playing forza and loved how the Scooby looked after that point that was it unwanted that nice white Scooby . I called up my buddy and told him within a hour of putting the phone down I was at the show room crunching numbers . The subaru was bit more a month too pay for but was cheaper too insure so it all working out well . A month later I'd signed it and it was all mine .

The day I picked her up .

Ok so I'm not exactly a fan of chrome so the wheels changed colour .

The rest of the chrome had too go so decided the boot lid handle and grill had too be black too so that was next

I decided the scoob was lacking its growl so I decided a exhaust needed to be bought.

Some eagle eye enthusiast will notice that the last pic is the front bumper il get to that in a few posts .
I had a trip out in the snow up to hart side pass was a lot of fun . But I went in to the carpark and bang hit a bolder that was under the snow and knackerd me bumper .

Any way that wasn't it for the bad news cos the week after i crashed it in too a curb in black ice and buggered the drivers side front every thing lol .

Oh yea I hit it hard . So after some hard money spent I got it all fixed .

So the parts I had too buy were a set of wheels , wishbone , drop link , hub and front bumper .
So got it all together and got the new bumper the same colour

New wheels bk 121s

So did all the work my self tracked it too and when I had taken it in too be checked it was pretty much spot on witch made my day . At this point it was like this for a few month

I had a mate selling a filter and tbh I had wanted 1 for a while .

After a few month I thought it just needed lowering but couldn't afford it until I lost my job for couple month but won my appeal and got 3 month wages handed back to me soo boom

Btw the bolts on the underside and like cheese so if your of a nervous disposition look away now

It was worth it tho the results are wow

And that's about where it stayed .

Good work fella... Not a fan of the wheels, they look small, what size are they?

Now stop ***** footing around and drop a V8 or Skyline engine in it!

I'm trying too look for few mods for power but don't appear too be much out there , there got too be some ways can get more out of the 1.5 . It's only a sub I'm wiring in its never guna be a power house so might as well make it sound good and look good .

Still a good car, won't be as thirsty as a turbo. Presume it has equal length headers or does it have the scooby burble?

Tbh I think it has eaqule length but at low revs it has a bit if a burble I want some unequal length but have no idea where too get em . I'm probs about 28 mpg . It's best part of 2ton with a small lump so probs work out the same as a turbo 1 .

Danny, I don't about what insurance you pay etc....but I remember on many cars that once you have it "tricked out" the costs of getting this look and the extra insurance premiums simply mean that the costs involved mean you would of been better buying the Cosworth, M3, STI.....(whatever you made your car look like) in the first place.

Are you not thinking that maybe it would of been better to simply get the sportier model in the first place?

But saying that, keep on trucking....looking nice!
