Default Not one for the Purists.......... RB25DET Conversion

Hi guys,
to be honest ive not been in the community for very long, and my first ownership of the infamous boxer engine has unfortunately became short lived.

I recently bought my first classic sti v2 few months ago now and have driven it very little mileage.
Completely stock, bar new fuel pump and recent service.
To my horror, the car began to show tale tale signs of headgasket beginning to fail.
However never overheated, sniffer test later and worst case scenario was thrown onto the plate!!!

so with quotes in excess of 1200/1400 pounds to repair i have decided to throw the towel in, and make it into a bit of a wolf in sheeps clothing fast road RWD monster, throwing the awesome rb25det into it.

I come from nissan background so know my way round these, you can throw over 400 hp through these with larger injectors, turbo afm and map and are so so reliable.

The actual project will be starting in middle jan when i get to confirm my place in new workshop/unit early this yr.

The idea is, rb25det engine and gearbox, hoping to keep as much in house as poss, have good few friends who know alot of very handy people if i ever came across any problems.

This project will be slow, as family commitments and work are unfortunately taking up alot of time, however it will be worth the wait for sure

wish me luck i guess............

If anyomne on here can throw me some advice, ive only read of a handful of these conversions tbh so its going to be a bit trial and error.

Advice on keeping and modifying front and rear subframes, prop and diff options, basically anything that will be valuable to the conversion would be so much appreciated.

will update later in jan, with removal of engine, gearbox and other uselss bits not needed

cheers guys, hope its going to be worthwhile!!

Don't they run the R180 diffs in some of the Nissan range? I'm sure i read they are the same some where and they do a bolt in Stub for the diff or something along those lines
