Default type r street/track slag racer

hi all well after seeing everyone elses threads on track cars have decided to tear apart the r and turn her into a little street/slag track racer for a bit of fun, currently took everything that isnt needed or doesnt do anyhting out so she is looking bare LOL. scraped of sound sealer or whatever it is what a hassle that was, relocated diff switch, also placed ecu in a more acsesable place got photos to post and any feed back would be good as first atemp at this

Cage - I have a Sparco multipoint weld in.

Roll Cages | Roll Cages | Demon Tweeks Motorsport, Motorcycle, Car Modifying, Parts and Accessories,Sparco, Arai

Quite similar to a custom cages etc

Think they do a lighter one too (over CDS), and will cater for more custom needs (if you get them to fit it)

2dr weld in - http://www.customcages.co.uk/Rollcag...&model=Impreza 2dr GC8&type=Int GrpN

2dr bolt in - http://www.customcages.co.uk/Rollcag...&model=Impreza 2dr GC8&type=Bolt in

P555SBR - The 2nd and 3rd cage pics are Custom Cages

Scaume - The prices are on the links....

custon cages give prices for supply and supply+fit

Sparco is about 700, and budget around the same for fitting if not DIY.

Weight: What do you have left in? Junk the OE battery and fit a light weight racing gel battery in the cabin (behind pas seat for example) that will save about 6kg.
Electric windows.... glass!

Airbag wiring is fine to remove.

Have a look at P4P (Plastics For Performance) for plastic window kits

make sure you go for GRP/Kevlar/CF shell seats and not steel framed buckets! They cost a wee bit more but are so much lighter!
