Zero260 WIDE HAWKEYE
I have had many scoobs in the past and I have always modded them in some way but when I purchased my Jap spec Hawkeye Sti I wanted to have something that was very different to what was out there in the UK.
As always it starts off with a few minor mods that then grows into a major project.
This is how it looked about a week after purchasing the car with the addition of wider wheels (they said they wouldn't fit....they did), lower springs and a front lip:

After a few trips to Performance Developments in Lancashire the power was upped to a level I was happy with (for now
) and then it was a case of achieving the look that I was after.
I have always been a fan of the Japanese touring car look or the Timeattack look that has finally hit over here with a vengence, a look that has been long overdue and a look that is a break from the norm.
I contacted Daren at www.a-b-w.co.uk and he brought over a kit from Japan for me that would be a great basis of the look I was after:

After the kit was fitted I purchased a Cusco carbon wing with custom made endplates and the car was finished.....so I thought.
Something was lacking on the looks front and it was its overall width and stance so I contacted Daren again where we put our heads together to think up a kit that would be different to what is currently out over here in the UK.
After many emails and phonecalls a kit was decided on and Daren got under way with developing something very different.
So I thought I would post this thread up of the project for all to see now the car is about to go wide. At this point a big thanks has to go to Daren for all the work he has put in so far and I can't wait to see the outcome.
As soon as I get pictures and updates from Daren i will get them posted.
I hope you like.

Here is a pic of the front wings that were developed by ABW that have already been seen on the Dynamix Timeattack subaru:

The rear wings are still being made and I will get pictures posted up very soon.

They have been sold now as I am moving on to a 9.5" wide wheel with a 30 offset to fill the new wide arches.

The new ones are the Timeattack edition Rota Torques. They are slightly different now to the picture as I have had the red line round the rim thickened in a brighter red.

They are the Ultralite Atec-2's in 8.5x18 with an offset of 35 bud. They went on with no clearance problems over the Brembo's and the rear arch only needed a slight roll.

It was the dish look that I was after, I have gone for a 255/35/18 tyre so that I still have plenty of rubber on my tyres and Daren @ ABW has just confirmed that what ever happens he will make sure they will fit under his new kit.

Many thanks for the comments again guys, here is a bit of an update for you:
I have just been sent a few pics from Daren and the car is looking great. As you can see from the first picture the new wider wheels stick out a mile.

The front arches have been put on to see how they sit over the new wheels and by the looks of it they sit perfectly, the vents haven't been cut out yet.

The prep work begins on the rear arches:

I will leave it to Daren to explain in detail what is going on.

All I can say is it's a good job I had your wheels Gav. I couldn't have guessed where these rear arches have got to be , must be the widest tyre/rim set up on a scooby in the uk .
I've basically laid up the rear 1/4 and door to use for the new arches ,I'll pull this off tomorrow space it out about 2 feet to fit the rims under
more pics tomorrow
