Got a 1.6 GL and was wondering what engines fit so that i can upgrade?

 

Depending upon how much work you want to do any Impreza engine will fit, but you'll need a complete donor car for all the running gear and electrics as well.

There are also some braces behind the front wings that run from the inner wing to the bulkhead on turbo cars not found on N/A models

 

With turbo cars so cheap these days I would suggest buying one to be honest unless your doing this as a project car.

Engine/ecu/gearbox and running gear.... you would be looking at a bodyshell up for a proper job I feel.
