Default cheap legacy track/drag car

ok,me and a mate bought this legacy for 250 quid!!!! its a j plate turbo and runs ok,needs new engine mounts but no smoke etc...we have got a big intercooler and are gonna front mount it and remove the chargecooler, itll also get lowered,be put on 16 inch impreza wheels and we will be turning up the boost. so, questions:does anyone do a good chip for these?i have sent an email to australia about a vos chip?but have seen old posts about a guy called pavlo on here?and is the best turbo a td05?300bhp would be great but we're not chasing numbers,if 250 is all itll make then so be it!but everything bought for this car will be salvaged from other projects we have or bought second hand,so what are the best mods to get for a cheap fun monster?for ecu, engine, turbo, brakes, suspension, wheels etc etc...with ROUGH prices as per what you would expectr to pay, many thanks!
oh heres a few rough pics taken at night, crap i know but you get the idea.

Wow, you are right about the photographs!

Good budget project though:

Sti 16 x 7 wheels and tyres: £80 (just bought a nice set)
Secondhand Apexi FC £400 + map
TD 05 turbo (it might have one already?)
Sti V3 TMIC £125 for a good one
Suspension? I'd fit Sti units, but i think you will need to keep the top mounts.
Decent set about £400 (call Welcome to the API website )
Brakes? Sti V3 4 pots up front, DS 2500 pads will do for 300 bhp.

Good tin of T Cut!...sorry.

Hows that?

good luck!
Graham

ps I race against a good Legacy (with charge cooler) and he is hard bloody work to beat!

You should be able to get a TD05 with right angled entry (i.e. not converted to front entry) for £150

ESL may do a chip for the Legacy, also mail Scott T and Pavlo (now Zen Performance), they would give good advice on what can be done with a Legacy ECU.

With a TD05 you should be near 300HP with a ScoobyECU type Chip - if compatible.

I'd sort the brakes and suspension first - I'd imagine it'll be a bit tired!
