ht leads and injector wire colors ?
hi guys
just want to make sure
can any1 with a phase 2 inlet manifold which i presume is on the 99>01 cars check a couple of things for me
ok firstly
the ht leads, my coil pack has numbers on..
like this
-3 4-
-1 2-
if i remember rightly
so am i right in thinking number 1 goes to bottom left plug, #3 to top left, #4 top right, #2 bottom right. ?
can some1 also look at their wiring loom and tell me what color the wires are that goto their respectable injectors.
same as above for numbering.
apreciate ur help
will be having another play 2mo.
thanks again

Yes your right dave
injectors, black goes to the back (ie 3 and 4) grey to the front.
As i told Alan Bell yesterday, this isnt your problem, you need to change the cam wheels and the crank wheel.

which wheels exactly am i changing
looking from front of the engine
am i ok just changing the top right pulley as its this that has the timing notches on it if im right?
im playing with looking at the timing belt on my old car
ive noticed that the 2 notches line up together in the middle and the first notch lines up the the little single nicks on the plastic housing round the outer edge.
the top one is lined up to the top and the bottom pulley is lined to the outer edge.
i think i got it right
just that when playing with turning the wheels, they spring round and its hard to line them up
it is just a matter of play and hope the dont spring round b4 you pull the pin on the tensioner.
P20SPD any chance u can give us a bell asap, im outside nw playing on the car and could use some pointers
