Default HT Autos Wide Arch Body Kit

I thought I'd post a few pictures of the fibre glass body kit that I had fitted by HT Autos to my 2000MY Type R

18 Months or so back I transplanted a 2003 Spec C drivetrain into my Type R chassis. All was well, apart from the clearances in the wheel arches. But after this kit, I look like I am running on spacesavers!

As well as fitting and spraying the 4 new panels, I also had a scoop done at the same time, as well as a boot lid respray of a white RA boot lid with no spoiler holes. Price was 2000+VAT for the whole job. Pretty good I think.

Cheers

Steve

P.S. Ignore the foam in the rear. That is part of the rear speaker setup.

Stephen, i love the look of your car...... if you like the look without anything on the boot, thats obviously fine, if you'd like an alternative suggestion though....

BMW 3series spoiler....
like this......

Gets my vote, but then it would... it's my car!!

We don't all have to like the same colour of car though. Just think, if we all had light blue Imprezas, finding your car in the car park would be a nightmare

Hyundai ? Don't insult me. It's far more like a Proton :-)

As for spoilers and colour, I like the low profile approach - less Halfords. Having said that, I don't think a wide boy 22b kit is very incognito, so I may have slipped up there.

Nice, and good price too. Think they'd graft one onto my wagon?

17x9s and 245s needed now to fill those arches a bit. Also, coilovers to get that extra height reduction.

Hi Steve

Richard
Don't joke. Check their site. They turned one into a pickup truck!

Something will happen. Might be 235s though. I don't want to use spacers if I can help it, or wheels with dodgy offsets - I value my wheel bearings.

I need to check how far the rear driveshafts can stretch if I fit longer lateral links instead of spacers. Anyone know ?

Yeah, it's camera angle mostly. But the wing is quite a strong curve there, due to it having to meet the light cluster after the arch. It looks fine in the flesh.

So what do you reckon about the drive shafts then ? How far can I stretch them ?

Cheers

Not far enough!, They are weak enough as it is, if you start running the driveshaft not fully engaged you can snap the splined section where the clip goes in 2nd gear in the rain - OOPS.

Speak to Pat next time you see him, I think he has some ideas on how to widen the track
