22B 3 door wagon? Yes please!!
#1 We like things that are different up at the clinic!
So when talking to one of our customers who wanted a little something different for his wagon we told him he could choose from a......
3 door conversion? yes on a wagon!
a 22b bodykit? yes on a wagon!
or a big bhp monster engine?
And bless him he chose all 3!!!
We have seen a few posts on 22b.com where people are discusssing this well here you go folks here it is in the flesh!
We are aware of a similar conversion that was done in sweden but if we remember correctly this was only done by welding up the rear doors and not changing the shell in anyway. This is where we come in, if we are going to do this then it will be done properly with the proper bits and not just welding up doors etc we are talking about removing complete B pillars and rear innner wings/strenghtheners etc and replacing with oe type R. We were very lucky that we had the remenents of a battered type R to use as a donor.
so then what you will need!
1 x impreza wagon
1x impreza type r shell
1x scoobyclinic 22b bodykit
2 x members of staff (so far) and lots of know how!
wagon stripped waiting for removal of B pillars
Type r shell being stripped
Type r B pillars in place ready for welding and longer door fitted
Welding done & some filling with 22b front wing in place.
More of the 22b kit going into place.
We will keep you all posted with updates and pics as the project continues, we hope you enjoy this post and watching it's progression.

How is the kit overhang on the front arches going to be solved?
wheel spacers?

I suspect it will be done correctly though, unlike some kits

Now if that had an H6 out of a leggy with a turbo...........
I've always liked the look of the 22B and occasionally wondered what STi wagon/22B cross would be like, even as a 5 door
