Default splitter project for classic with sti8 intercooler

After fitting an sti8 intercooler on to my classic my00 along with many other mods, i've decided to design and fabricate my own custom made scoop undertray and splitter using 20 guage galavanised sheet metal. My aim is to get as much air onto the intercooler as possible to get the most out of it.
Here goes.......

i've now made many measurements under the bonnet and decided on hole sizes and positioning.

ive cut some pieces to add on the ends to give it some strenth, im basicly tying to create a solid metal scoop to sit under my larger bonnet scoop to drag as much air in as possible.

i bet your thinking, what the hell is he doing, that looks crap but ive got faith in myself and i reckon this is gonna turn out good. lol. ive added another piece of sheet metal to create a larger scoop, this should also push more air on to the front of the intercooler.

ive screwed the undertray on to see how it fits and it looks perfect, ive also bent the metal down at the front so its not just a step down to the intercooler, the air should flow alot better like this.

im quite impressed with how its turned out,ive cleaned it all up, rubbed it down and sprayed it with an etch primer and then a matt black spray paint, the finish coat looks gud,i wanted it to look quite stock from under the bonnet.

Job well done but are you going to place a 'splitter' in the middle to direct air across the front of the ic as well.

the splitter is now fitted to the undertray and its ready to screw to the bonnet, ive got some stick on rubber to put on the underside of the undertray to make a seal to the intercooler.
