Easy:

IMHO:

Apexi FC ecu mapped by the Wizzard, AndyF
TD05 20g
550cc injectors/walbro pump
flowed headers by Harvey
Bigger TMIC or a Hybrid FMIC
3'' exhaust system
Engine breather system/parallel fuel lines/Optimax 98 octane + NF booster
A good clutch and box

About £3000 if lots of DIY is done.

About 380bhp x 340 lbft torque and 10 mpg when enjoying oneself!

OR, sell the car and buy one already done for about 8K

And then spent the same sorting the suspension & brakes out.

353 WHP at Dastek (with 121mph quarter mile terminal on road tyres at normal pressure with no weight stripping est weight 1300kg+driver+fuel with A/C and ICE in similar spec except NF instead of methanol injection):

Pump/reg/740s/Ecutek/APS induction & FMIC/TD05H-20G/EJ257/P1 heads/Gruppe-S headers/exhaust/Optimax with methanol injection/Dawes

Think you could do the same on 550s and 2.0 STI engine.

go to Scooby Shop on this site and search for Andtforrest Performance.
I paid about £850 for a rebuilt one from Andy which delivered the right bhp with supporting mods.
I think Paul at Zen also does them now (?)

on a 2.0 wont the 20g be at its limit before you get to 350 whp?
certainly you would need to let it drink something very exotic.

imho (and limited knowledge!) your looking at a garrett, whether or not you clock it is up to you but I think you would be pushing that in its std. position.
might be worth stroking the crank to try for 2.15, garrett 30 based hybrid, fmic, 740's, 3" full system, forged pistons and uprated rods/bearings etc and a fair whack of boost.
allow upwards of £6k unless its all DIY.

My best mate just had the following done to his 1999 UK TURBO

Harvey Smith FMIC
Induction Kit
Roger Clark Down Pipe
Revolution 3" Exhaust System with 5" Back Box
Ball Brg Turbo
550 injectors
Bigger Fuel Pump
Bigger Oil Pump
GEMS ECU mapped by Steve Simpson TEG (With Antilag)

He got 337bhp before Injectors, Fuel Pump, Oil Pump. Goes back to TEG next week for final Tune. 350Bhp POSSIBLE cost him 3/4k in total.

Your car is more Bhp from standard so you shud get them figures quite easily.

Power at the wheels, not the usual quoted BHP (at the flywheel)

It is the number that really counts as it shows the transmission (and RR) drag.

LOL
cheers G, I understood what whp was, I was astounded that the above mods made 337 hp at the wheels, especially before the injectors etc were fitted.

Andy (less than 4 weeks till its back together and running - I hope!)

I'd also be interested in the "bigger oil pump", a step up from the much more usual "modified oil pump"??
