this year we raced a wrx at our local track

we did ok

the rules are four wheel drive is not allowed

SO WE RAN 3 WHEEL DRIVE

two rears and o/s/f

now they have banned 3wd

so i need to put the engine and gearbox in the back

FOR MORE RWD TRACTION

IE mid engine with the box behind it

but the std gearbox is too long and i will be sat so far forward my feet will be in the engine bay NOT A GOOD PLACE TO BE

so i need a gearbox off something else that is loads shorter

any one know of a box that fits the scooby engine

thought about using the fwd bit of the box to drive the rear wheels but then the rwd bit sticks out of the back of the car too far for comfort ( ITS A CONTACT SPORT)

any advise greatly appreciated
