after my engine went bang and pricing up repair/replacing the sport engine i looked into taking a big step and getting a turbo lump for it instead
after a bit of searching i found a compleat wrx that had been rolled a few times but the engine is runnin tidy,
i have sold all the bits i didnt need and the cost has made it cheaper to make my car a wrx than replacing the sport engine,
i wanted to change to a turbo anyway but would have meant a drop in year so this way ive killed to birds so to speak
heres a pic of the two cars when the wrx turned up 3 days ago,,,,

then after 15-16 hours of stripping this is whats left to be scraped

Nice one, very interesting. Can you outline the main differences between the Sport and the Turbo/WRX that you've found? Which bits are you "upgrading" and what are you leaving on the Sport.

will be nick even if i got to push it there lol
john im changing the whole underside of the car ive took the back end off whole < mainly because its got the disc rears as well as a rear antiroll bar that the sport doesnt and the diff is still conected to it all and this will need to go on to marry up wit the wrx gearbox.
also the front disc,s calipers need upgrading and you have to change the cross member on the front because the sport one doesnt have enough room for the turbo and exhorst
the bit thats scaring me is the wiring loom ,,,, ive got the old wires off the wrx easy but not looking forward to putting it on the sport ,.,,,,
