Default what twin scroll turbo is best

hi looking to replace my standerd twin scroll turbo on my 2010 jdm impreza currently running 350bhp mods so far are just a turbo back exhaust decatted apart from that I'm standard but would like to get to atleast 450+bhp so need to start with a better turbo any suggestions been looking at sc460 or mdx-450

No SC46 TS anymore only SC42+ which is true TS most of the rest are twin entry. Try Owen developments.

ask chevron about owens vf36 hybrid - close to 3k pounds
You will not see 450 horses on petrol oem 2.0 engine with any standard positioned twinscroll,even forged 2.1 will struggle to give 450 horses on petrol
Robert Knight -"fast line turbos "could make You vf hybrid good for 415 horses for 900 quid if You give him vf37/36
vf36 based turbo is ball bearing where sc42+ is journal bearing, think best for bucks twinscroll is fastline hybrid vf36. Any issues with 3k pounds Owens developments twinscroll than owens will blame everything but not their turbo etc.

Hedgecutter, you are correct it takes the 2.1 imho to upgrade a twin scroll.

I remembered it wrong than as I lost my interest with it as it has plastic parts inside and no good for 450

so that's disappointing wat would b ur advise with where to go with this project I bought the jdm as its meant to b a better engine and wanted more power thought this was the way to go everyone I spoke to said get a jdm but know I'm thinking I should have gone uk 2.5l buying parts would have been easier too as I seem to struggle there aswell anyone else got a jdm and wat are u running and wat power u getting thanks darren

jdm car will shine with quick rack,other gears ratio and 8k redline + vf36 hybrid
You can stay top mount on hatch and oem clutch ,injectors and for example 235mm tyres.
For 450 You need forged 2.0 or better 2.1 and meth on twinscroll ,think max is 470-475 with Owen turbo- its based on vf36 , plus clutch , injectors 3" exhaust ,bigger top mount or front mount.
You will not see 450 horses for long on oem 2.5l either
2 options i think go OD twinscroll and forge an engine in future or vf36 hybrid for 2k pounds less
above 2 are within maybe 40 horses difference on petrol and 2.0 or 2.1 engine, not sure 40 horses are worth 2k pounds

so how do people get there scoobies 500-600 bhp and if u can't wats the point of buying any mods for ur car I love my scooby but just get pissed with getting my arsed kicked by golf r's and amg's and every evo out there

A lot of expense and know how. Fully built engines, injectors head work, rotated turbos, exhausts, cams, closed decking on 2.5's etc etc. Very very slippery slope requiring handling and braking mods too. This all comes with downsides too shifting your power band further and further up the rev range.

I do wonder why people buy JDM Imprezas, with permanent 4wd, DCCD, quick steering, responsive twin scroll engines etc, when they just want to race along the local bypass.....

There are a lot more appropriate and better VFM cars for drag racing on public roads

I was just thinking the same; a well set up spec C hatch will compete with most modern cars on twisty b roads, and beat most big power imprezas. Another thing altogether on motorways and the drag strip. At least you feel connected to the car.
Hybridised oem is the way to go for maximum driveability on real world roads. My hatch was 357bhp with standard cat, only mods were actuator, fpr, and 3 port BS.
