My new MY15 (New shape) STI Daily driver

I spoke to Kev this morning and he's finding out if they can still supply S6 or have to supply the new S7 Syvecs now. I'm easy either way to be honest.
The K&N is a nice setup and I'm pleased I got it as my alternative induction kit was nowhere near as good. I'm going to fit it and then fabricate an enclosure around it to stop heat soak in the filter and duct air from teh front grill and fog light area into it. Bit of engineering still required to make it perfect, but should work well.

I just re-read this thread to refresh myself with what's what & it's a tad confusing....
If it's not too much trouble could we get a list of what's done, what you have on your workbench & what else is required please...?
Cheers & keep the pics coming

All of the thread updates for purchases and work done are all catalogued in this thread as they happen so if you've just read through them it will list what's been purchased and fitted already.
I have 2 young kids, a needy wife and demanding job so finding the time to list everything again here will take some time sorry.
I will try do this for you when I get a chance.

So I've just calculated my Tial Q BOV spring rate from measuring my vacuum which is -0.76 bar at idle once warm. This equates to -22.4 in/hg vacuum pressure which in turn according to the Tial Q literature means I need the 12 PSI spring in the BOV not the 10 PSI spring I ordered and have fitted. DOH!
So Turbo Dynamics are now looking for any UK stock of 12 psi springs to ensure that I don't get the BOV fluttering under tickover and causing running issues. Oops.
Maybe I should have done this before I ordered it rather than consulting Google for Subaru recommendations on spring rates for these.

I was trying to do that initially but to find a Tial Q BOV blanking plate, plus correct sealing o-ring plus correct clamp for the flange was taking me ages to source and was looking like yet something else I'd have to get from the US. In the end it was easier to just get the genuine BOV.

That's an extensive list, I see what you mean about making sure it's all done properly the first time around
As long as you're not self employed that's a win
*I really hope you're not self employed as I've just seen the price of a Syvecs

It's madness, but deep down I know it's the right choice over Ecutek Racerom for my car and setup.
Crazy money.

As far as fitting goes, not 100% sure yet. Need to decide on where it's going for the ECU first and I'm still waiting for a couple of Syvecs quotes to come in.

Have to wait another couple of weeks for a stronger Tial BOV 12 psi spring to come into the UK then I'm just about done with parts.

Personally unless your tracking the car and your dedicated to shaving seconds off lap times etc I really think syvecs is overkill for road use. If it truly is 5k you gotta ask if your going to get that extra 3k's worth out of it over another capable ecu.
Link g4 for mine I was quoted £1400 fitted including vat.......would i really benefit by spending an extra £1100+ vat on a syvecs for a road car that covers 5k a year if that.......nope not at all.
Good luck with whichever way you go buddy I'm sure it will be most impressive on the road

did you say that you were quoted 5k for syvecs? Why on earth is it that much? I'm sure the clinic quoted me around £2500 for my hawk. Is it due to your model year?

Link 4 isn't available for my car and nobody will open source it at this level for good reason, so I only have 2 options, Ecutek Racerom and Syvecs. I've been reliably informed by all those in the know that even for a road car it will drive better with Syvecs.
I know the price for S7 Syvecs is the same from one installer as the discounted S6 older setup I've been offered by another well known seller, which is crazy.
Got some big decisions to make.
