Default My uk2000 progress thread

Well as I've brought another scoob I thought I would again start another progress thread I've had the car about a month it's fully forged running a Scooby mania turbo ( have no idea what this is as never heard of it and no one has been able to confirm what turbo it has)

So here she is the day I picked it up

Typical tradition with me I noticed the exhaust blowing so I took it to my local subaru specialist and good friend paul at Arden bridge services who confirmed the exhaust was indeed blowing from the downpipe so a new one well 2nd hand lol was sourced from pole position and this is where the nightmare started the down pipe bolts were no longer bolts but spherical blobs of rust so it had to be cut off and the turbo also removed to get the bolts out and retap the thread this is where he also noticed the up pipe was also fubarred so this had to also be replaced lol so nightmare but all running fine now

So my first sort of personal touch was to the Intercooler this was annoying me due to the stone chips etc so it was taken off sprayed black and refitted

Deffo a improvement I think I then just enjoyed it and drove about in it

this brings us up to today I took it down to powerstation for a health check and power run I was a little dissappointed as she only made 350bhp and 310 torques they did however say that the engine is spot on and afr's are bang on it would make more power with a less laggy turbo

When I got home I was bored and a bit gutted so decided to do summot with my time I had a couple of cans of spray paint in the garage so thought I would clean up my rear arb

This was the state it was in

Whilst I was waiting for the paint to dry I decided to give the underside a quick clean
From this

To this nothin special but a improvement

I then refitted the arb I think it looks better not bad for just a quick rattlecan

So there we are as usual I will update this thread every time I make a change

Thanks for looking
Craig

Engine spec is

Spec: Engine - ARP oil pump hp,ACL race bearings, V9 crank, H beam conrods, API wossner pistons, STI heads, metal API head gaskett, lightend fly wheel, uprated clutch from Scooby Clinic, ARP head stud kit, STI red inlet, samco turbo inlet, injectors 600,roller bearing turbo from scoobymania, front mount intercooler, motec management, magnex downpipe, mocal oil cooler, magnex equal headers, p1 gearbox

Yea mate the plan is to lower it I'm unsure of what suspension it has it's not standard as it has adjustable dampers and p1 splitter is what I'm hoping to get for it

Well thought I would update this not much had happened really I've had to replace the rear diff due to who ever fitted the p1 box didn't change the rear diff so that decided to eat itself this has now been replaced I've also repainted the wheels are dark bronze colour which I think suits it I've also painted the Orange bits under the indicator on the bumper black

So here's a couple of pics from today as always will update with any changes

Cheers
