Hi all this is a message I'm sending out on behalf of a neighbour..As the title suggests a gearbox is need for a M plate WRX gearbox No TY752VB3FA....Feel for the guy he's only had the car a few days..we are in the Northampton so if there's anyone out there with ideas on where to source one or knows a car being broken up...thanks to all who read..

 

Hi mate, just to let you know that the 'fa' gearboxes are sometimes hard to come by, but the vb3aa boxes are much more common and seem to be identical in ratio and diff (ref: 'Tuning WRX' book) and I can guarantee that it works as I used an aa to replace my blown 'fa'.

I have a reconditioned box available but it's in Shetland so it'd prob be cheaper to find 1 locally.

got a friend with an sti box and diff for sale wants £250 i think for the pair
