See attached. Just dug it out - plastic is in very good condition as is the gaitor - but the paint finish has scuffed - you can see a couple of black circles where the paint has worn through. If you need one to put a car together/replace a missing piece or very damaged and nasty surround, then it's absolutely fine - if you're after a surround to create a mint/concourse car then you should respray the plastic - but no nicks or chunks out of it or anything.

It is - it's a few years old though - so may look slightly different. Let me put some pics up - which I hope to do for the end of the week/the weekend. My P1 is unfortunately a Sunday best car (as it lives with my parents as they have a garage....) - I bought it with 32K on and standard in Feb 2004 - and it now has 40K on it.... so whilst the induction kit is old - it's only done about 8,000 miles!!!

Will get some pics up for the weekend.

As per requests - pictures of the RCM Induction Kit. The blue bobbin which the filter fits onto is a metal bobbin which has been anodised (might be powder coated....). The filter is in a serviceable condition but is used - it has no holes in it or filter material missing, but some of the pleats are twisted/bent slightly where it butted up to the inside wing/picked up some stone dents from debris.

Yep - dead easy to fit.

You have to unscrew your current gear **** (it will unscrew - it's just tight!) and then.... I can't remember whether the gear gaitor just pops out - or whether you have to remove the two screws which hold the handbrake surround on (under some plastic covers) (and the four or so screws inside the centre armrest thing) which enables you to lift the hand brake console off - which in turn allows you to remove the plastic surround with the gaitor in... (clear as mud?) ;-)

Can do you a quick series of photos for you if you like - but need to be in my car so I can remember how to do it - it's pretty obvious though and really is pss easy.
