If it was an SA......it would be an auto......and not an sti....

However it looks cool in black.....

It is an SA,has OEM JDM sticker under rear lights "SA"

Also engine,chassis and model codes say its an SA too

Which Car is a WRX STi

WRX - SA (STI)
GF8B58D model
EJ20G DW1NE engine
250 bhp Manual TY752VB3CA gear box
As per WRX STi 4 door, modified from production

Has 7K ecu in footwell (ver 1-2 sti 13.19psi boost as standard)

See above link,altered post production 250 bhp as standard for manual,220 for auto box...

Real deal,hardly used,but took here down lanes today in snow to say goodbye

I,m sorry, but this has come up many times before on here and other forums.....

The "Sa" is an auto.......the clue is in the title.

There were three 5 door models manufactured with the same code.

The wrx 5 door (manual)
The wrx "sa" 5 door (auto)

And yours which was marketed as the wrx sti 5 door.....

There was never an sti type Sa marketed...

I thought "SA" meant Subaru Altered ie post pruduction?

Not Subaru AUTO?

yep here we have it " for the 1994 model year only, the wrx five door also came in a cheaper, lightweight version called the SA that skimmed 50 kg (110 lb) off the overall weight, leaving out items such as the lower rear spoiler. this was several hundred thousand yen cheaper than the standard five door WRX."

Yes the Sa was the poverty spec model....had really crappy interior like the GL....and no skirts ,spats body trim.

I remember seeing a brochure scan for the 1994 5 door range and from that i recall the 3 models mentioned.There was no reference to an "sti type Sa" in that....i will try and dig it out. ....

I seem to recall the Sa standing for Sport Auto......but not 100% sure on that....

I understand why you would state it being an Sa along with the badge and all, and also all the incorrect model code references that are all out of date.......but most of these have been corrected on the link i posted earlier...ie the 2 door ra etc etc...

Any way good luck with the sale...it looks a nice clean car...

Having actually looked at the add now i also note theres no sti wing badges,and the clocks should have the "sti signature" on them i think...also sure the sti came with all the skirts,spats etc...not to mention the plaque.

Hey its all happening

I knew it was lightweight,side skirt/spoiler/spats delete....didnt realise it was poverty spec,previous owner took the blue wrx seats out of it and fitted the 1999 wrx interior before I bought it....

I was led to believe? SA,Subaru Altered post production models were pre-sti main stream production?

Anyway its in good nick,not fooked and has been well looked after and had some $ spent on it recently.... its my credit crunch chav challenge chariot! and its understated and different

Right..... best remove the sti bit from the add

Whats it worth then?

What should I realistically expect now the world is doomed?

Glad I sold off my B&C coilovers,downpipe,wheels and clutch separately last month...this looks like its been a pointless exercise?

If its worth nowt,will give it to the wife as its a good car.....and she still misses her mint Pug GTi 1.9 that I sold!

i struugled to sell my mint 95 wrx wagon with fully rebuilt api engine for £2995.......about 4 years ago! i think you might have to drop the price a bit to get a sale. the more popular saloons with better spec can be picked up for 2k now...a goodone if you look about.

ather looking up one of these before, the code states it is an sa-sti
manual box, & the older sti v1 engine.

but some came with a rubbish ecu.but as stated this has a 7k ecu

GF8B58D

g=impreza
f=wagon
8=2.0l
b=my94
5=5 door
8=wrx this should be a b=sa
d=5 speed manual

if it is an b, then its the sa-sti
