Have to agree if its from a uk car it will be 3.54 think you need to take the rear cover off and check the teeth so you know exactly what you are selling

Ok stand corrected I was under the impression the only uk car with a 4.11 diff was the early type r's and possibly P1's.

I don't think 'FD' relates to diff chaps. I am not 100% but pretty sure UK is 3.54

You use the Final Drive ratio and divide it by the drop gear ratio to get the rear diff ratio. i.e a final drive of 3.9 with 1:1.1 drop gears is the standard UK rear diff of 3.54. (3.9 divided by 1.1).
But as the chart shows there are UK 752 boxes with 4.11 final drive and 1:1 drop gear so the rear diff ratio will be 4.11 using those figures.

WOW, you guys have fairly had a discussion today. LOL

Yes that is indeed what I was basing my figure on Arch. (4.1 x 1) However I dont actually have the box anymore to check the code........ it was removed from an MY97 UK Catalunya turbo. I will double check and find out EXACTLY what it is and report back.

Thanks for the input.

Duncan if your not sure the best bet is to pull the cover off and check, the ratio is stamped on the crown wheel or you can count the teeth, better being safe

No need use an oil resistant silicon sealant I use it all the time on diffs and gearboxes about £10 from halfrauds and you wont use much of it

Got some in the garage but will fit a proper gasket for the new owner.
If I was keeping it I would use the sealer.
