what size pipe work and location please

It will be 3" narrowing to 2.5" just before the downpipe and he is located in Sheffield. I previously purchased a Blitz from leeroy, nice fella to deal with

It 2.5 inch for about 3 inches right at the end where it meets the downpipe, an easy mod to make it 3'' for any decent exhaust fabricator. A mate of mine had his done for £20

im confused,is this a back box ?

why do people keep saying connecting to downpipe,the back box connects to the mid section that inturn conencts to downpipe
