Default mercedes 5.0 convertible spares repairs

i bought this recently with the best intentions to finish it and put back on the road but to be honest just too busy, by no means is it being abandoned due to fault etc.

mercedes 500sl convertible
1991 the newer wedge shape
this car has been sat 10 years !!!!!!
the roof is shot
the interior two seats need retrimming
needs small amount of bodywork

but what this is is an extremely poplular classic, everyone loves the sl's

so ok a new roof skin aftermarket can be bought for 350 according to the dvd etc it does however take 10 plus hours of your time to do it!!! so you may opt to look for a cheap used complete roof, failing that hardtops are available on internet auction sites for a couple hundred or so

remove the front seats and send to a trimmers, i would say £400 tops

bodywork is just blemishes, small amount rust to an arch, small dent between door/wing, bumper corner scratched

car starts and runs on the button, i have driven the car a mile or two and it does perform well, i would advice a full service etc as it does flutter a tad but then to be honest after 10 years sat doing nothing you would too lol

basicly 8 plugs oil oil filter and a quick checkover

logbook will be with me in a couple weeks so plenty of time if you are intersted to look about for parts etc

grreatly appreciating classic, the first of the new shape being a 91 no cats etc and this early model is widely known as the best one to have.

a v8 5.0 mercedes convertible....... need i say more

this car was 65,000 plus new, might of even been 85000 its escaped my memory, which isnt hard these days haha

£1500
