How long you owned It ??

How many miles have you covered being It's so low mileage. And have you the receipts for the servicing since being in your ownership ??

i was selling a vw bora tdi and i part xchanged it with a friend of mine who bought it from a gentleman who has moved abroad the history was meant to be given to him but to no avale. he mot\d it and it went straight through.
the only reason he did this was because he couldnt afford the insurance.
sevicing is not the end of the world with this sort of mileage if it is this reason why i could not sell it i would get this done myself.

will get some pics up tommorow.

27000 miles on a 10 year old car that's spent time in Japan aswell, is extremely low. The service History ( since being in the UK anyway ) aswell as any old MOT certificates can back the mileage up.

I'm not trying to knock your car or anything just saying how people inc myself (who's currently In the market for a Type R) will be judging it.

Look forward to seeing the pic's..

shurly anyone buying a 10 year old car would judge the car on its condition inside and out rather than service history which means little when a car is that age and the fact it has reached that age without a serious breakdown means its probably been looked after reasonably I doubt anyone would bother clocking a scooby to make a sale as its such an old car TBH service history is a dealer stamp in a book to say that the apprentice has had a look over it and replaced a few parts Id rather have one with no history that had been maintained by an enthusiast

Nope i'm not...........Service history is better dont get me wrong, but i've had 2 subarus now, both with no history as i get them serviced off close friends rather than at a dealer who could be letting any spanner monkey loose on it..The first one i had was a STI 3 Type R which i bought brand new in 97 and had it for 8 yrs..sold it 3 yrs ago for 18k with no history but the car was mint both inside and out and the buyer was more then happy with that...The car i own now is a 2000 P1 which i bought off a friend with no history but i know who serviced the car on a regular basis so it was no problem to me...Service history isn't as important as overall condition of the car...Would you buy a car that was scrap with history or a mint one without...?Remember this car in question is quite cheap to start with.......Alan.....

I gather you mean no Subaru S/H? 8 years owning a car and no history from motor factors for oil filters/cambelt etc etc doesn't quite add up unless you throw away all your receipts?

if you are genuinley interested in the car then please ask me some questions, i have explained why there is no service history and i am doing my damed hardest to get hold of it if you are not then please keep your opinions to yourselfas people like you bore me to death.
i too have had 2 subarus 1 of which was a type r with no history at all and i now own a p1 which has some history but that isnt worth a light to any body as it has 450 hp and nothing is standard.

to those who want to see some pics i will get them up asap, as you all know there is not much light in the day and i start work at 6 and dont finish till 6.
cheers mickyboy

Might be wrong but does it have brembo front brakes? Has it been in the UK since nearly new? I recognise the plate if theres only 2 numbers and they are the same.

If so its been up for sale on here before. A search for grey type R or something similar should find the old add.
