FS: Tactrix Openport 1.2 OBDII / SSM cable - £35
Due to no-longer having a Legacy, I am selling this OBDII cable, it is roughly 2 metres long and works with all ISO 9141-2 cars. It also supports Subaru SSM providing your car has the OBDII connector.
It will allow you to perform diagnostics and datalogging, it will also allow you to perform some adjustments to the ECU, most notably the idle speeds (separate settings for with and without aircon) and will allow you to reset the ECU without having to mess with fuses or battery terminals.
On some cars (not my old 99 B4 but I believe 2001+ B4s with the Denso ECU are fine as are Imprezas newer than 1998) it will allow you to reflash your ECU allowing for custom maps. (There is another connector you have to jumper before this will be allowed. You can either buy the reflash connector or just jam a paperclip between the two pins! I will not be held responsible if you bugger up your ECU)
There is a brief FAQ about the cable here
Here is an example graph I put together in Excel using data logged with this very cable. It shows that both the primary and secondary turbos are working fine, at 10psi and 13psi respectively. Also this thread shows how to use it to calibrate your Throttle Position Sensor without needing three hands and a multimeter.
The current cable they sell is $169, admittedly it does a lot more (ie. other variants of the OBDII protocol) but for use on a Subaru this is all you need. Its also a lot less bulky than the current one they sell. Which is handy if you're planning a permanent installation, such as with a Car PC
The cable uses an FTDI USB->Serial adaptor, drivers are available here for pretty much every version of Windows since Win98, also MacOS and Linux but most of the datalogging software is written for Windows.
The software I use is ECU Explorer

If required, the cable will be provided with a CD-R containing drivers and ECU Explorer. Do specify if you want this because personally I hate driver CDs and prefer to just get the latest ones off the internet, which is all I will do to make this CD for you!
£35 including P&P
