Honestly you'd grow to love it. Shock at first but after the initial burn of the retina is cool.

is it like custard (pastal) yellow or like a canary (glos yellow) ? the pics make it look a bit of both in some shots

It's in between, more pastel i'd say. It's nothing like a civic jordan or a yellow mgzr. More subtle a yellow than that.
