Hi,would anyone be interested in a P1 rolling shell with NO ID its got most of the interior apart from front seats and door cards still has all the glass and is on a rubbish set of 17"s.The shell has a few knocks on it but would make a good race/rally shell. Looking for around £1250 for it?

Its not stolen it was supposed to be crushed by the police because the owner got done for street racing with no insurance so it was impounded! My mates dad got it for me as he works for the old bill i just could not put it on the road because the DVLA thinks its crushed that is why i said it would make an ideal rally or track shell! I hope this clears a few things up will let it go cheaper as i need the space in my garage! Cheers Mike

 

when you say its got no id do u mean the dvla dont have the id on there records anymore ...or has the id been sut out of the floor and bulkhead?

this seems a bit ..strange to say the least

 

DVLA will have no record the chassis number is still stamped on it but has no vin plates! Never tried to the DVLA to be honest! Cheers Mike

I would'nt ask dvla about it if i was you. If it was ticketed to be crushed and it has'nt been, you could get your mates dad into alot of trouble.

wouldnt have been ticketed for crushing by the police as its unlikely they hold a waste carriers licence, think theres something someones not telling

If a car is seized for no insurance, the owner has 14 days to collect the vehicle or the car will be crushed or sold on.

The way my company works it is anything with a trade value of under £3k gets scrapped automatically on its 15th day in our yard. Anything over that value and its auctioned off. So in the case of this car i dont see why it would have to have been crushed. But other Recovery firms/police contractors may work to different guidelines

 

I reckon its salvage only.
