Having spoken to dealers etc and lack of interest from anyone, my 1998 (S) Impreza Turbo has been reduced to a more realistic £10950. It has 52K miles, full service history, one owner from new, metallic green, immaculate condition, Power Engineering back box (the only mod), Alpine CD, Cat 1 alarm/immob. Genuine reason for sale, as much as i would like to keep it, a new wrx has won me over.

If someone can tell me how to attached a jpeg to this, I can post a pic. Doesnt seem to work???

Someone respond, if only to advise on price, please......

I take it the Dealers have offered you an almost embarrising amount for your car? I sold my car last weekend to a dealer (dropping it off with them tomorrow) and I had real problems finding a dealer who was even interested in my car. Most of the dealers took the details of my car and didn't even bother phoning me back. In the end I had to take the car to a dealer 70 miles away.

Although I could definitely have got another £1000 selling it privately I just couldn't be bothered with the hassle. The car also had outstanding finance on it and I would have had to take out a loan to pay off the car before anybody would have even wanted to buy it.

Is it not easier just to cut your losses and let the dealer have it?

 

Dealers offer was not too bad. Apparently because it doesnt have aircon, it value is reduced by lots. Judging from last summer, wouldnt have thought it was a problem.

Yup mine hasn't got aircon either and I got all the usual "we can't even get people to look at a car without aircon" rubbish. The dealer tried to tell me that in order to sell the car they would have to put aircon on it.

If the dealer offered you a fair price isn't it easier just letting them have it to avoid all the tyre kickers and companies saying they can sell your car for you phoning you?

 

Looks like that's the way it's going at the moment. Was hoping to get a bit more than they offered, but like you said - lot of hassle.

Very nice looking car, if it was April I would have it off you, with a bit of wrangling...... sorry this does not help, but if you have no joy and can wait until April we can deal.
