as you can see from the pic above the turbo came from ja warehouse via ebay.
reason why we are selling is because we have opted to have a TD06 fitted instead.

we was told that a standard TD05 could only produce 350bhp, but oddly enough we were able to produce 357bhp at thor racing
don't believe everything you read. especially if you have all the correct modifications.

Um,no !

I have an Andy Forrest TD05 20g and that will give about 390-400bhp max at about 1.6-1.7 bar.

Is that on a 2.0 or 2.5? I thought 420 lbs is easily achievable with a 2.5 running sufficient boost and supporting mods, Alan at AS Performance runs one and his kicks out 420.

I was talking about a 2.0

The most worrying thing about these turbos from JAWarehouse is they have a very bad reputation among people on here.

I've heard stories of them failing quite early on !

do not confuse these turbos with a Andy Forrest style tdo5 20g

having seen one of these compressor wheels and a genuine mitsi compressor wheel that is fitted to the original tdo5/06 20g side by side you can see quite clearly why they are low on power compared to the genuine artical.

that said they are very cheap!

at no point have i once tried to make out that this is a AF TD05 20G.

as you can clearly see from the pic above, yes it is a JA Warehouse copy, which i have not had any reason yet to have a grumble with. is there anyone on here that has ever had one of their turbo's fitted? if so would it be possible for me to get their honest opnion on these.
the reason why it and another turbo was purchased from them was simply due to the price of them, which is a hell of a lot cheaper than the AF ones.

Nobody is saying you are trying to sell something that isn't as described.

These turbos are very cheap for a reason.

The problem is,someone could buy this turbo believing it is capable of producing the same power as one of Andy Forrests 20g's and it's a well known fact that they can't !

I'd be more worried about the turbo failing and killing my engine rather than the power it produces !

Judging by your location and this last comment, did I meet you in Port Seton on Friday ?

I don't think the power is the real issue with these turbo's. It's the quality of the components used and the fact they have been known to fail catastrophically and kill the engine aswell that's far more worrying !

I must have a good one then as i have no grumbles with them . i never thrash it till its warm and off boost for a mile or so on the way home . think some of the issues poeple have with them may be that they dont do this !

It's down to personal opinion at the end of the day but I wouldn't touch one of these turbo's with a barge pole !
