Default 2001 Honda Accord Type-R - may p/x/swap for a Impreza

Peeps,

After being back in a Sti for around 3 hours last night, I would like another Impreza ( owned 2 previously )

I would consider a p/x or swap for the same value for my car which is,

2001 Honda Accord 2.2 Type-R ( around 220bhp )
126k
FSH
Taxed until October
MOT until April

Recent work done in the last 2000 miles,
FULL service, including Silkolene Pro-S oil, plugs, genuine oil and fuel filter.
Timing belt, water pump, auto-tensioner
Valve Clearances
5th Gear and Sync ( common gearbox problem )
Oil Catch tank
Full stainless exhaust
2 rear wheel bearing
Magnecor Leads
EGR Plate cleaned and porting unblocked
EGR Valve cleaned

Proper comfortable massive Recaro interior
Blitz R-Vit Type I monitor

The car drives very very nice indeed, and im my opinion these, along with the Tegs are the only proper Type-R's. My car will crack 60mph in around 6 seconds, and along to a top speed of 150mph. When on VTEC the engine note is brilliant.

But its party piece is its handling and grip, imvho, the Accord out handles most Impreza's, it has one of the most perfect balanced chassis, and also having the advantage of a LSD as standard.

Bad points.
Stone chips on the bonnet and bumper and the n/s/r door has had a smart repair ( can hardly see it until you look close ) I got quoted £350 to have the paintwork done.

I value the car at around 6k.

Heres some pics, ( about 2 months old, will update when I clean the car tomorrow, have exhaust etc fitted since then )

Most ATR's seem to have highish miles. Mine was over 100k but drove like new. I guess you can use the same argument with these cars as you can with Saab's, barely run in at that mileage.

I loved my ATR and would still have it if I wasn't skint when I had to sell it. By the sounds of it this will be a sweet one, the crunchy gear thing is very common and its been sorted on this one.

Its in the best colour as well and the interior doesn't do itself justice until you sit inside one, the seats are the best I have ever sat in.....EVER!

The car had covered 100k in the first 2 years, it was a reps car and was used up and down the motorway. I spoke to the service manager from the Honda dealers where it came from and was serviced and he told me that the car had absolutely everything it ever needed and was serviced to death, it has the service history to prove it too.

It has had 2 owners previous to me, and the last owner only did 25,000 miles in 4 years.

Im interested mate yes, could you send me some more information and pictures by email please ?

Trem, thanks for the heads up mate, much app.

You may think 6k is a little high, but the most common failure on these cars is the gearbox, and its a £1200 repair from Honda. Also a new Exedy clutch was fitted whilst the gearbox was out.

Everything has been done to this car, with absolutely no expense spared on inferior parts.
